East coast jewelry designer and owner of Treasure Bay Designs®, Theresa Baybutt, has designed and handcrafted an assortment of unique accessories inspired by the beauty of nature and the sea. Theresa Baybutt, a Massachusetts resident and alumna of the Rhode Island School of Design and the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), is an experienced metal smith and jewelry designer who provides jewelry, custom design, and stringing services to both the wholesale and retail trades.

Designing and creating jewelry was always a passion for Theresa that evolved into a flourishing business in 1996, with the establishment of Treasure Bay Designs®.

The Power of Pearls ®  - Treasure Bay Designs® believes in giving back!

The Power of Pearls® is Treasure Bay Designs® way of using pearls and the art form of Theresa Baybutt to generate funds to donate to causes such as, the fight against breast cancer and other cancers afflicting both men and women; the fight against Altzheimers and the fight to clean up our envirnorment.

Why pearls? Pearls are truly magical! The process of pearl making is natures way of dealing with foreign articles that find their way into a mullosks (mussle or oyster) shell. The article, which could be a grain of sand, a sea bug or other minuscule grain is very irritating to the organism living inside the shell. So the organism secretes a substance called nacre to coat the article to make it less irritating and therefore less dangerous to the organism. The result – a beautiful lustrous pearl! What an amazing and unique process of nature! What better metaphor could I possibly use to describe the cancer process. As nature has found a way to deal with irritants affecting the life of the mullosk – so can we find a cure to eliminate the irritant to the human body – leaving behind the beauty of a life!

We Care® Jewelry

At one point or another in most of our lives, we personally encounter a brush with breast cancer, or hear of a friend or family member who’s been stricken with the disease. Support for one another is crucial in the battle against breast cancer and other women’s cancers.

As an emblem of caring and support, Treasure Bay Designs® has created the We Care® jewelry line. By purchasing one of these personalized products, you’re silently showing your support for the women around you who may be dealing with cancer themselves. Seeing others sporting We Care® products, is a peaceful reminder of the love and support their family, friends, and community shares for them.

A portion of all proceeds from sales of We Care® jewelry will be donated to organizations that provide funding to aid in the fight against cancer. As other products are added donations may be made to other organizations as well.
